Crystal Bernard

An American singer and actress from Garland in Texas, Crystal Bernard began her career in entertainment through gospel music together with her older sister, Robyn. Their tracks included the Monkey Song where it was against evolution. On screen together with Kimberly McArthur and Juliette Cummins, she was highly identified by her shag hairstyle which she maintained for many years.

As a spokesperson for the gym chain Q: The Sports Club, Crystal Bernard was at the peak of her success as an artist. She was spotted in various commercials across the United States. Aside from acting, she went back to where she originally embarked in the industry of performig arts. Her duet with former Chicago band member, Peter Cetera, in the ballad “Forever Tonight” was a major hit. She then released her solo albums, The Girl Next Door in and Don’t Touch Me There in . It still comprised some of the Christian genre which she worked hand in hand with her father while another with country artist, Billy Dean. He became renowned in the early ’s with his appearance on Star Search where he later earned a recording contract with EMI- Capitol.

Acquiring versatility, Crystal Bernard was also actively involved in theater. She was Annie Oakley in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun in . She was also a cast of a Los Angeles production of Crimes of the Heart in and took part as Molly in Barbara’s Wedding. It was staged at the Falcon Theater located in Burbank, California on . She experienced several road tours that headed to the southern cities in the country. She also replaced Reba Mcintyre in Broadway for two months. Currently, she is residing in Beverly Hills, California.
