Overview Having an entire manpower of only , men, the Fiji Military is considered as one of the smallest in a global scale. With an official name of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), the , active members are composed of engineer battalion, infantry troupes and emergency reserves. Just recently, the counter revolutionary specialist of the Zulu division was deactivated in because of a mutiny that took place.

With two regular regiments, the Fiji Military have been traditionally stationed outside the territories of the country due to a peacekeeping agreement. The first has been posted to Iraq, East Timor and Lebanon under the authority of the United Nations (UN). The second has been posted to Sinai together with the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO). There is also a third in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) that has been posted in the capital city of Suva.

Navy The Fiji Military has men assigned for marine warfare. Every th of July, the armada commemorates the founding anniversary. It was in when this department of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) was established prior to the governments approval of the Law of the Sea from United Nations (UN). This section of RFMF takes charge in looking over the nations exclusive economic zone and preparing rescue missions.

To date, the navy of the Fiji Military operates nine boats where they receive assistance from China, United Kingdom and Australia. However, the aid from UK has been stopped due to the aftermath of a coup de etat that was intended to topple the civilian administration. There have been issues revolving around Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) nautical section where a commander was even quoted saying that the biggest hurdle was how to preserve sovereignty in order to keep pace with the unpredictable situation in the state.

Organization The first in rank in the structure of Fiji Military is the Commander who is expected to be supported by the Deputy Commander as well as with the Chief of Staff. All of them regularly meet to discuss essential matters on Strategic Arrangements and Land Enforcements.

Strategiic Arrangements refer to the long term concerns of the RFMF such as legal matters, welfare and sustainability affairs.

Land Enforcements refer to the functional chart of the RFMF in control of the Logistic Support Unit and Force Training Group, among the others.
